This is a sampling of my day as a homeschooling mom, wife, child of God and friend. I'll save pennies to give you for the thoughts that you leave. You can collect them when you stop in for a visit. Thank you for sharing part of my day.

Sprung!
A day filled with sunshine! At last! Freedom to go outside and play without worry of getting wet. Some of us still needed jackets and long pants since yesterday was a bit on the chilly side, but it didn't stop us from playing a game of croquet.
B started filling in a hole that developed in the yard from a city clean-out blowing during the flooding earlier this Spring. H decided he wanted to take over and this gave him something to do in between his turns in the croquet game. It took 20 scoops of lake muck to fill the hole!
C has taken on a summer job of lawn mowing. So proud of his determination at advertising! He made his own flyers and distributed them through two neighborhoods. He only has 2 jobs, but one of them is for a realtor for the house across the street. Great "in" for C to have.
I've spent the morning loading the family's summer plans into our Google calendar. What a chore! Both boys have much to do with Scouts this summer. C is attending the National Jamboree and a leadership camp. H has signed up for several weekend camping trips along with regular summer camp. It takes a lot of money for them to attend these outings, but they will be taking part in many fundraising efforts to offset and hopefully cover their adventures. Many of the fundraisers are fun too and even include the family. For instance, they will be pulling wagons during Symphony on the Prairie many Fridays this summer. Parents have to tag along. We will get free concerts out of it!
Miss K travels to Ohio for a couple of weeks during June during the boys' peak activity so she doesn't get left behind! She stays with Grandma W. for what I call Camp Grandma. She gets some one on one time with the cousins too, so this is a highlight for her summer.
Rejoicing that Spring has sprung!
